St. Therese Camp
| Are you in jr. high, high school, or college? Are you looking to have a great time next summer? Why not check the St. Theresa Summer Camp for young women? This camp is like most summer camps. It is filled with fun, games, movies, talks, discussion, prayer, swimming, hiking, cookouts, a bonfire, snacks, and a whole lot more. On the first full day of the camp we will take a bus ride up to an amazing state park near Wisconsin Dells. We will spend the day hiking, swimming, canoeing and cooking out while we also take time to talk about what it means to be a religious sister. The rest of the week will be filled with all sorts of activities and will always give you an opportunity to not only have fun, but to also learn more about your faith and what God may want you to do with you life. |
| St. Therese will begin with registration at 3:00 PM on Sunday. After you are settled into your room we will have a Mass for you and all your family members if they are able to attend. After Mass your family is welcome to stay for a family style dinner. After Dinner your family will depart. The camp will end at 11:00 AM on Wednesday. |
| The camp is being sponsored by the Vocation Office of the Diocese of Rockford and is being coordinated by Fr.
Michael Lavan, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Rockford. The actual camp will be facilitated by some wonderful religious sisters from around the country. This year we are blessed to have 5 different religious communities who will be present for the whole week. |
| In the past this camp has been lots of fun and very informative. Though one of the main goals is to introduce young women more fully to the vocations of religious life, it is not exclusively for those who believe this is the vocation they are called to. Anyone is welcome who is looking for a fun and faith filled time and is also open to learning about this awesome vocation. |
